See the Tongtai MT Series Lathe at IMTS 2016
The Tongtai MT Series Lathes are a new series of machines offered by Absolute Machine Tools. They will be exhibited at the IMTS 2016 for more information and demonstration. The MT Series was developed for precision turning, automatic production, and high volume production. Many years of work on customizing machines for mass-production lines produced the MT Series, which we are proud to now offer our customers!
Features of the Tongtai MT Series Lathes
MT Series machines have twin spindles as well as two individual machining areas. Both the turrets and spindles are made to be parallel, which allows two-process parts able to be completed on one machine. A gantry-type robot also offers decreased labor costs and efficiently utilizes floor space. High production chucking work can even be completed with MS/MT series CNC lathes.
The lathes can either come with 6” or 8” chuckles with spindles that rotate at 6,000/4,500 RPMS, respectively. Not to mention, there is an intuitive robot teaching function with the MT control where the operator can adjust the following:
There are two individual working areas on the main structure of the lathes, and the bed structure is separate. A compact structure gives short cutting flow from start to finish, enhancing the machine’s rigor and cutting ability. Maximum swing diameter is 210mm (with a machining diameter of 210mm or 120mm), and a machining length of 145mm or 100mm.
Workpiece positioning protection ensures sealing between workpiece surface and chuck, and pressure leak detection allows the robot arm to reload a workpiece. The gantry-type robotic arm can process 3 axes movement, is driven by a servomotor, and the rotary axis moves at 180° in just one second.
With a pallet stocker that comes in 3 types with a number of pallets ranging from 10, 14 and 16, these machines are versatile and hardy and ready to tackle any project.
