Tongtai HS-22 Compact Lathe with an automatic loading/unloading gantry system

Absolute Machine Tools together with Flint Machine Tools will be exhibiting several machines at SOUTH-TEC 2015 on October 27-29.

SOUTH-TEC, a Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) show held in Charlotte, North Carolina, offers attendees a chance to see the latest and greatest in manufacturing developments from more than 400 hundred exhibitors.

At the event, we will showcase an AccuteX Wire EDM GE-43SA, Tongtai HS-22 compact lathe with an automatic loading/unloading gantry system, and a You Ji CY-550H vertical turning center with integrated automatic pallet changer.

The Tongtai HS-22 compact CNC lathe is equipped with an optional automatic part loading/unloading system. It is unique in that it functions from the end of the machine rather than a gantry system that operates from the top of the machine. This is one of the world’s fastest load/unload devices with a swap time of only 4.8 seconds. Further, a 14-pallet work stocker enables unattended machining.
The You Ji CY-550-H VTC (vertical turning center) features an integrated automatic pallet changer. This high production, heavy-duty machine with reliable spindle uptime is ideal for automotive production environments. The rigid vertical column and base are Meehanite castings, heavily ribbed for reduced thermal distortion and vibration dampening. It is designed for rugged to fine finish turning of medium to large components. The machine’s maximum turning diameter capacity is 27.5”.
The new, affordable AccuteX “Great Economy” (GE) Wire EDM machine provides fast, high speed cutting efficiency for the economical price of $89,900. The AccuteX GE-43SA also features automatic wire threading (AWT) that provides fast submerged rethreading at the break point. When wire breakage occurs, rethreading takes place without dielectric drainage/refilling, resulting in spark-to-spark times as low as 15 seconds. In addition, an exclusive air-driven wire removal system quickly disposes of waste wire of any length.
