Tongtai HS-22 Box Ways and Q-5 & A-1500 Gang Tool Small Automated Lathes

Tongtai HS-22 box way and Q-5 & A-1500 gang tool automated lathes are compact in size and produce high part volumes.

The 30˚slant bed, box-way HS-22 lathe can turn a maximum turning diameter of 8.66″ (220 mm) and maximum part length of 7.87″ (200 mm), with chuck sizes of 6″ (152 mm) or 8″ (203 mm). It has a 6,000/4,500 RPM, 15 HP spindle. A 12-tool servo turret with 0.45 second indexing is standard. An automatic loader can handle parts 4″ diameter x 2.4″ long (101mm x 61 mm) and 6 lbs. (2.72 kg) in weight. The loader stocker has 14 pallets and load time is 4.8 seconds.

The flat-bed Q-5 lathe has linear guide ways and can turn a maximum part diameter of 1.57″ (40 mm) and maximum part length of 7.87″ (200 mm) with a 5″ (127 mm) 3-jaw chuck. A 4″ (101 mm) air chuck is optional. Spindle performance is 7.5 HP and 6,000/8,000 RPM. A gang tool arrangement is standard. The machine’s loader handles 2″ dia. x 1.57″ long (50 mm x 40 mm) parts weighing up to 1.3 lbs. (0.60 kg). A rotary loader stocker has 8 pallets with a load time 6 seconds; a space-saving 2 pallet stocker is also available.

The 60° slant bed A-1500 gang tool lathe has a large 20″ x 8.5″ tool platen and can handle a maximum part diameter of 6.3″, and a maximum part length of 15.7″.  A 6″ 3-Jaw hydraulic chuck is standard with an 8″ chuck option.  Two different spindle sizes are available with bar capacity up to 2″.  A 15 HP spindle motor provides high torque and plenty of power.  The 60° slant bed allows easy access for the addition of automation products such as robots and gantry loaders.
