The Johnford HT Series consists of twin-turret horizontal slant bed CNC lathes engineered for simultaneous roughing/finishing, multi-axis productivity, and high-accuracy machining of medium- to long-length cylindrical components. Built on a one-piece 45° torque-tube slant bed — cast in Johnford’s own Meehanite foundry — the HT Series delivers the rigidity, thermal stability, and geometric alignment required for demanding automotive, hydraulic/pneumatic, aerospace sub-component, and general precision machining applications.

The series covers a wide range of part sizes, with swing over bed from 22.8″ to 27.95″ (39.4″ optional), swing over cross slide from 13″ to 23.6″ (31.5″ optional), and distance between centers from 21.7″ to 120″, making it suitable for both compact and extended-length production turning. Compared with comparable twin-turret slant lathes from Okuma, Doosan (DN Solutions), Mazak, and DMG Mori, the Johnford HT Series provides heavier castings, greater structural rigidity, and more customization flexibility — often at a significantly more economical investment.
