AccuteX EX-600 Compact CNC EDM Die Sinker for Mold, Die, and Tooling Shops

Accutex Ex-600 Compact Cnc Edm Die Sinker For Mold, Die, And Tooling Shops

Shops that need reliable die sinking without giving up floor space have a purpose-built option in the AccuteX EX-600. Its 3-sided drop tank opens up the work zone from three directions, so setup, loading, inspection, and routine maintenance take less effort, all while keeping the machine’s footprint practical for tighter shop layouts.

Beyond X, Y, and Z travel, the EX-600 adds a programmable C axis and true 3-axis point-to-point positioning, covering work like sub-gates in plastic injection molds, vent holes, aerospace engine parts, and medical components. Burn conditions stay consistent thanks to built-in XYZ orbiting, and the conversational control lets operators program helical cuts across the Z/C, X/C, and Y/C planes without hand-coding from scratch.

Underneath, FEA-engineered Meehanite castings, Class 5 ball screws, and precision linear ways on all three main axes keep cutting stable and repeatable. Operators run the machine through a Windows 10 control with a 21.5-inch color touchscreen, built for day-to-day ease of use on the shop floor.

Key Features

  • 21.5-inch color touchscreen running Windows 10 on a 64-bit industrial PC (i3 processor, 8MB RAM)
  • Stores up to 1,000 sets of machining parameters in auto-memory for fast recall between jobs
  • Automatic Parameter Control senses arc conditions as they happen, tunes spark settings on the fly, and shuts down bad-spark events before they can carbon-foul the workpiece or electrode
  • Conversational, icon-based Project Program creation for the X, Y, Z, and C axes, exportable to standard G/M code when needed
  • Built-in orbiting across the X/Y, X/Z, and Y/Z planes, with 12 selectable patterns, plus helical motion in Z/C, X/C, and Y/C
  • Smart Path Orbiting reads the material as it cuts to optimize removal rate and shorten cycle time
  • Dual digital power supply fires high and low voltage discharges at once, speeding up metal removal
  • EZ-Spark setting tuned for cutting carbide and other extremely hard materials
  • DELTA AC EtherCAT drives on every axis, running jump and rapid moves up to 7 times faster
  • Automatic, programmable 3-sided drop tank designed for operator ergonomics and robot-ready automation
  • 20-position Automatic Electrode Changer available as an option
  • UV-based fire detection included standard
  • Built-in Remote Access Portal for AMT’s service team to diagnose issues remotely (needs an internet connection)
  • T-slotted, hardened precision worktable
  • Turcite-B way surfaces with one-shot lubrication
  • Space-saving design with the dielectric system built into the machine base

Benefits for Metal Cutting Manufacturers

  • Cuts down or eliminates secondary polishing, thanks to a 0.18 Ra µm best-case surface finish
  • Holds tight accuracy on ribs, gates, and other fine cavity detail, backed by FEA-designed casting and Class 5 ball screw construction
  • Keeps burns stable in real time as Automatic Parameter Control adjusts spark settings on its own
  • Shortens cycle times through Smart Path Orbiting’s material-sensing removal strategy
  • Delivers repeatable results on complex cavity work with standard multi-axis and XYZ orbiting control
  • Built for longer, lower-touch runs, with the automated drop tank and remote diagnostics access supporting extended operation

Ideal Cutting Applications

  • Sub-gate machining for plastic injection molds
  • Vent hole cutting
  • Aerospace engine component detail work
  • Medical device components
