Absolute Machine Tools Now the Exclusive U.S. Importer of Yougar EDM Drills
Absolute Machine Tools, Inc. is pleased to announce that we are now the exclusive U.S. importer and distributor of EDM machines and supplies from Yougar M&T, Inc., including the Yougar YGS CNC Moving Head series and YGS ZNC Manual series of EDM drilling machines.
South Korea-based Yougar was established in 1999, supplying EDM consumables for major EDM machine manufacturers. In 2008, Yougar introduced its own first EDM small-hole drilling machine, and in 2015, the company began distributing a moving-head EDM drill designed for large and heavy parts primarily for use in the aerospace industry.
Today, Yougar EDM drills feature up to 8 axis capability in both submerged and flushing type designs, with drilling ranges from 0.1 mm – 6 mm (0.004” – 0.24”) in both oil and water. Yougar’s EDM drills are sold in Europe, Mexico and Malaysia by Mitsubishi EDM, in Sweden by Fanuc EDM, and distributed exclusively in the U.S. by Absolute Machine Tools.

YGS CNC Moving Head EDM Drilling Machines
The YGS CNC Moving Head (+/- 45˚) series design ensures smooth motion and stability that exceeds that of fixed-head, moving-table style EDM drills. An automatic guide changer (AGC) enables easy automatic holedrilling at different depths, and the machines offer up to 8 fully programmable axes for complex manufacturing applications. Rotating brass or copper tubular electrodes from 0.1 mm – 3.0 mm (0.004” – 0.118”) diameter perform drilling, while a high pressure pump provides adjustable through-spindle flushing from 0 – 750 psi to maximize performance with any electrode size.
The EDM drilling machine’s 17” touchscreen PC display allows operators to manually enter drilling positions or easily import them from a DXF file or wire EDM program stored on an external source. The also machines support diverse rotary table manufacturers and multi-lingual operations.
YGS ZNC Series Manual EDM Drills
The YGS ZNC Manual series’ economical high-speed EDM drilling machines perform simple “start hole” drilling quickly and efficiently with electrodes in diameters ranging from 0.1 mm – 3.0 mm (0.004” – 0.118”). Other features include a 10µm extended life filter, resistivity sensor, and ION exchange resin. The YGS ZNC series provides smooth, reliable machining over long periods of time.
