New At Absolute: You Ji DSM Series
The You Ji DSM series was built to meet a diverse range of machining requirements. Depending on the machine configuration, end users are able to machine block sizes from .780” x .780” to 47” x 47”. With work piece thicknesses from 150 mm to 400 mm. High tolerances for two, four or six sided machining are maintained, targeting accuracy in parallelism, perpendicularity and machine finish. Finite Element Analysis design modeling is a foundation in the development of our machines. By using FEA our design focus can be directed at developing a heavy one-piece cast iron base that will optimize machine rigidity and reduce thermal displacement.
The duplex machining center’s rotary table moves in the X axis on roller type linear ways, indexing at 45°, from 0 to 315°. Clamping is accomplished via a Hydraulic work holding device and Hirth coupling, providing the ultimate in positioning rigidity and accuracy. Robust milling heads from Ø160mm to Ø425mm move independently along the Z axis on rigid box ways. Large diameter spindles, NT50 to NT60 produce 15 to 30 hp. within variable speed ranges.
Machine operation is semi-automatic, with the work piece being shuttled into the machine manually. Once in the machine, the work piece is automatically centered, clamped then checked. Subsequent dimensional inspections are made dependent on operator set parameters. All DSM series machines utilize a Mitsubishi C-70 controller with a touch screen interface and HMI (human-machine-interface) customized for You Ji. The operator-friendly software allows for quick set-up with reduced changeover time.
