Wire EDM Machine
Accutex offers four types of CNC wire EDM machines, each designed to accommodate all EDM manufacturing needs.
- AL Series: The AL series is designed as a moving table submerged-type EDM machine, featuring a proprietary linear shaft motor for high-performance cutting. Unlike other manufacturers that use generic linear motors, Accutex customized the linear shaft design to deliver optimized accuracy and cutting efficiency.
- AP Series: The AP series is a submerged-type linear motor design constructed with a hybrid table that moves in X-axis, and a column that moves in the Y-axis. The center of gravity is therefore located between 2 linear guideways on the X-axis table, ensuring stability and accuracy. The independent X and Y axes prevent accumulated stack errors minimizing deformation by FEA or Finite Element Analysis. Improved maximum loading weight of 1,100 kgs (or 2,425 lbs) and achieves bi-directional repeatability is less than 2.5um.
- GA Series: The GA series is designed as a moving table submerged-type EDM machine with a smaller footprint, and is available in both ballscrew and linear models. This economically priced series maintains high accuracy and speed required in today’s demanding manufacturing environments.
- AU Series: There are two types of models in the AU series. The first are machines designed with a large fixed-table, submerged-type, extra large capacity wire EDM machines designed to handle heavy workpieces with exceptional cutting performance and precision. The AU series is uncommon due to its large-scale capacity in the market today. The AU series also features automatic wire threading over the full stroke of the machine, accommodating workpieces up to 31.3″.
- AU Flushing Series: The second model in the AU series is the AU flushing-type wire EDM machine. The AU-9i features a moving table in both X-axis and Y-axis. It boasts an open-construction design with flushing-type system built to accommodate oversized workpieces that exceed the capacity of even the largest standard tanks, offering maximum flexibility and accessibility.
Accutex wire EDM machines combine advanced technology, robust construction, exceptional accuracy, and multiple offerings to meet the high demands of industries such as aerospace and medical, that require the exceptional accuracy and precision possible.

AccuteX Wire EDM Machine Features
All AccuteX wire cut EDM machines come equipped with a host of reliable components, systems, features and functions designed for high productivity and long life.
- Linear and Ballscrew designs available
- Drop Door design
- Lead In/Out Technology reduces or eliminates the entry/ exit point witness mark improving accuracy, finish and fitment of components, and eliminates secondary operations for class A surface requirements.
- S-Cut Fine Finish Skimming (9 RA uin surface finish)
- 3um to 20um filter capability for a wide variety of materials from PCD to Aluminum
- Automatic Cutting Condition Selection embeds the correct cutting conditions and cutter compensation offsets by allowing the operator to answer simple application based questions, this can also add multiple cutting sequences when workpieces require different flushing conditions, accuracies and surfaces.
- Full Annealing (patented) Automatic Wire Threading can be performed Submerged up to 23” height, Rethread at the break point over the full Z stoke, 15 second spark to spark time up to 4” height, scrap tip removal of any length of wire after wire break or AWT retry
- Jumbo Wire Feeder (optional) for up to 100 pound wire spool capacity increases untended time up to 200 hours between spool changes using 0.01” diameter wire
- ESPRIT CAD/CAM On Board (optional) using Windows 7 interface makes it possible to import DWG, DXF, IGES and Para Solid data directly from your network, completely program, simulate, load to active memory run all at the machine tool.
