You Ji CTV Series Vertical Turning Centers with ATC & CAPTO Tooling

The You Ji CTV Series consists of compact CNC vertical turning centers designed specifically for shops utilizing CAPTO tooling systems. Featuring a CAPTO C8 interface and a 24-tool arm-type automatic tool changer (ATC), these machines deliver fast tool changeovers and enhanced versatility, making them ideal for turning medium-sized workpieces in high-mix, high-precision environments.

The CTV Series is built on a rigid vertical column and base made from Meehanite castings, heavily ribbed to minimize thermal distortion and dampen vibration. A box-type headstock, similar to those found on machining centers, provides exceptional strength and rigidity — ensuring stable cutting performance across a variety of operations.

The arm-type ATC reduces tool change time to just 6 seconds, increasing productivity and tool capacity while leveraging the rigidity and dual-contact stability of the CAPTO C8 connection. These machines support a wide range of operations — including turning, milling, drilling, boring, and tapping — all in a single setup. They are particularly effective for off-centerline milling and tapping, offering multitasking capabilities in a compact footprint.

For even greater flexibility, an optional contouring C-axis and live spindle enable simultaneous milling, while the addition of a Y-axis transforms the machine into a true 3-axis vertical machining center — ideal for complex aerospace and precision components. The live spindle is equipped with a solid-locking three-piece coupling, ensuring maximum rigidity during turning operations.
