The Accutex DS-ZNC Series delivers dependable, high-accuracy die-sinking EDM performance for mold & die, aerospace, medical, and precision machining applications. Built on heavy-duty Meehanite castings engineered using Finite Element Analysis (FEA), these machines maintain rigidity, suppress vibration, and ensure stable cutting conditions during deep-cavity and fine-detail erosion. With travels ranging from 16″ × 12″ × 7″ up to 28″ × 22″ × 10″, the DS-ZNC Series supports workpieces as large as 67″ × 39″ × 22″ and up to 4,400 lbs., making it ideal for a wide range of precision EDM requirements.

Each model features Class 5 ball screws and 0.0002″ resolution optical scales on all three axes to ensure smooth, precise positioning. The intelligent Z-axis incorporates conversational programming, automatic arc monitoring, fuzzy logic servo control, and dual-discharge circuitry for improved stability, lower electrode wear, and faster burn times. With the optional COC-280 orbit cut system, the DS-ZNC platform can achieve ultra-fine surface finishes down to 0.18 Ra µm and positional accuracies of ±0.0002″, effectively performing like a full 3D sinker EDM.

For manufacturers requiring added flexibility, the optional NC-controlled X and Y axes unlock powerful multi-cavity, multi-surface, and orbital machining capabilities typically limited to higher-end 3D die sinkers. This option enables automatic centering cycles, X/Y side machining, X/Y orbiting, and multi-cavity positioning—dramatically increasing both productivity and the range of operations each DS-ZNC machine can perform.
