Absolute Machine Tools Helps Manufacturers Stay Competitive in Tough Global Market
Operating a business isn’t easy, and you can’t do it alone. Today’s manufacturers need real solutions from knowledgeable, stable suppliers to remain competitive in today’s tough global environment. For more than 30 years, Absolute Machine Tools has been providing advanced metalworking solutions and comprehensive services so manufacturers can improve their processes to run more efficiently, profitably and continue to make America great.
A few of our most popular machines were recently highlighted in the January edition of Production Machining magazine, including the QuickTECH S-32 ATM mill/turn center and the LICO LNTS multi-slide CNC screw machine.
Maximize Output, Minimize Investment – QuickTECH Mill-Turn Center
Starting at just $209,900, the S-32 ATM mill/turn center features nine total axes, two turning spindles, a B-axis milling spindle with a 24-tool auto toolchanger, and six fixed subspindle turning tools for a total capacity of 30 tools for simultaneous turning and milling operations. Both main and subspindle feature 6,000 rpm, 5-hp high-torque integral motors, 42-mm collet chucks or 5″ three-jaw hydraulic chucks, and 30-mm barstock capacity. The spindles feature a continuous C axis with a braking system and are fully synchronized for fast part transfer.
The B-axis milling spindle is locked in position and services both turning main and subspindles with a working range of 190 degrees (± 95 degrees from vertical). At 3,750 mm × 2,175 mm × 2,025mm, it minimizes floor space while maximizing output.
Precision Parts Turning – LICO CNC Screw Machines
LICO’s LNTS multi-slide CNC screw machines are rigid and capable of form tool use with each slide having a full two-axis servo-controlled travel. Three or four multi-axis slides and eight-position turret, can overlap as much as five tools in the cut simultaneously. A turret-mounted pickoff counterspindle is standard and the base machine comes with a gang platform supporting three backworking tools.
The LNTS offers an optional, eight-position static backworking turret. Each main turret position accepts VDI-30 live tooling with four live toolholders being standard. Spindle sizes range from 36 mm to 65 mm. A three-turret model is available for extensive backworking and another model equipped with a Y-axis gang tooled cross slide for both static and live tools.
