Compact, Simple Q5 CNC Lathe from Tongtai Speeds Small-Part Production; On Display at IMTS 2014

The Q5 features a 6,000 rpm (optional 8,000 rpm), 7.5 hp (5.6 kW) spindle motor and offers a rapid traverse rate of 1,181 IPM. The compact CNC lathe has a 5’ x 6’ 3” (1,490 mm x 1870 mm) footprint, and with straightforward gang tooling and no subspindle it is equipped for speed. Tool capacity, depending on the workpiece being processed, is 4-6 ID or OD tools.
