Nexturn Swiss-Type Lathes Turn Parts at Discovery Day 2014 Event, Elgin, IL
Absolute Machine Tools is demonstrating the Nexturn SA-32P, Swiss CNC Machine, at this year’s Discovery Day Event in Elgin, IL, April 9, 2014. The demo planned for this event is cutting a spherical fitting with Ø1” 1144 Stressproof Bearing Steel polished and ground. The SA-32P has a 32mm guide bushing and can hold up to 25 tools. Nexturn products consist of guide bushing equipped machines from 12mm to 38mm capacity and non-guide bushing type machines from 20mm to 51mm capacity.
Tongtai and FANUC Develop New Process Management Tool for Real-Time Monitoring
TIMS, an acronym for Tongtai Integrated Monitoring Systems, is a new software initiative created between engineers and technology experts from Tongtai Machine Tools and FANUC Robotics. TIMS is software geared more towards process and machine tool management, rather than production monitoring. The software enables management to monitor real time and historical parameters on each machine within a cell, and the production line as a whole, from anywhere on the Intranet or Internet.
