EX Series CNC EDM Die Sinkers

Tackle Complex Cavities. The EX Series gives moldmakers and precision shops axis capability a standard die sinker can’t match — full CNC control across X, Y, Z, and C, with helical machining and XYZC interpolation working together on a single cavity. That matters most on multi-cavity molds and aerospace-grade tooling, where undercuts, deep ribs, and compound-angle surfaces need to be burned in one setup instead of repositioned and re-registered by hand. For shops moving into genuinely complex cavity work, this is the series built to make that jump.

NX Series CNC EDM Die Sinkers

Designed with Mold Shops in Mind. The NX Series is Absolute’s current CNC die sinker line, replacing the earlier ZNC series with conversational programming that doesn’t require a dedicated CAM programmer to run day to day. Automatic Parameter Control adjusts spark settings in real time as burn conditions change, and multi-axis orbiting is built into the machine itself — no separate orbiting head to buy, mount, or maintain. An optional automatic electrode changer extends that further for longer, less-attended jobs. The NX Series offers full-size-range CNC capability at an economical price — real CNC control for mold shops that don’t need the EX Series’ higher axis count or price point.

Twin & Single-Head (EX 2H / NX 2H) EDM Die Sinkers

The twin-head configuration runs two rams on one machine, burning two cavities — or two sides of the same mold — simultaneously instead of sequentially, for shops that need higher throughput without adding machines. Paired with automation-ready configurations, that’s one setup cycle instead of two for large-format or higher-volume production.
