Accutex DS-X-2H Series – Twin & Single Head Long Tank Die Sinkers
Accutex DS-X-2H Series twin and single head die sinkers are perfect machines for making two molds simultaneously in the same tank, or a single large mold. Travel and workpiece capacities are built to accommodate time constraints and tight tolerances for today’s mold makers.
The DS-X twin head or twin ram series includes models ranging from DS-1510X-2H up to DS-3010X-2H. These machines are not only built in a twin head (2H) design, but are also available in a single head design, allowing for even more versatility. The DS-X twin ram series’ travels include 430mm (17″) to 1275mm (50″) in X, 1000mm (39″) in Y, and 600mm (24″) in Z. The single ram design offers 860mm (34″) – 2550mm (100″) in X, and uses the same Y and Z axes travels as their twin and single head counterparts, with workpiece table weights 11000 (24251 lbs.) to 19000 (41888 lbs.). The DM (or twin head) series’ travels allow both heads to work without interruptions. SM (or single head) series is designed to be double the X-travels of its twin head partner, with the balance of their specification remain the same.
A single mold sparked simultaneously by two spindles will greatly reduce processing time of the mold or part. Rather than buying two machines, the twin head series offers two machines, with independent ballscrews, saving on valuable shop floor space and cost. Expanded single head axis travel allows sparking across a wide range of workpiece sizes from large molds to small precision parts.

Production Line Automation & Integration using Accutex’s Manufacturing Execution System (MES)
Accutex’s Manufacturing Execution System, or MES is the latest in advanced smart technology and AI. MES not only monitors every aspect of the production process including recording and displaying real-time data on just about any electronics you can think of, but can also manage things such as multi electrodes, workpieces and machines. Data produced during machine monitoring includes utilization rates, status, and machining processes including milling. MES can also manage customized tools and design projects, measurements and counts necessary in mass-production processes and warehouse management.
MES incorporates Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology to record and track real-time data for managing tools and program details. For instance, tools tagged with RFID can be inserted in random positions. Using a robot, RFID tags can be scanned and sorted according to scheduled operations and priorities within the program increasing efficiencies and removing potential errors.
